 The
Structural Engineering Service is utilized for calculating the
dead load factor of a roof deck to determine if the roof deck will
support
a ballasted (10 lb./sq. ft.) roof system. In the case of
waterproofing, the service determines the extent of damage to steel
reinforcement in the concrete and if the reinforcement must be replaced.
The
Mechanical Engineering Service for roofing is provided in
conjunction with roof mounted equipment which is being replaced and/or
raised simultaneously. In waterproofing the Mechanical
Engineering Service facilitates equalization of air-pressure
between interior air handling systems and power vent systems to
prevent moisture penetration caused by an interior/exterior pressure
differential.
